Dr. Mazen Abdulilah Alwan
Dean of the College of Engineering Technology at Shatt Al-Arab University is the administrative and educational leader of the college, playing a pivotal role in directing all academic and research activities within the educational institution. His objectives and duties include:
Dean objectives:
1. Improving the quality of education: Working to enhance the quality of academic education and ensure excellence in academic programs.
2. Encouraging scientific research: Supporting and enhancing research activities within the college, motivating faculty members and students to participate in research.
3. Developing human resources: Enhancing the skills of faculty members and staff, and recruiting the best talents.
4. International cooperation: Strengthening relationships with other academic institutions locally and internationally for knowledge and expertise exchange.
5. Meeting community needs: Developing programs that meet labor market and community needs, contributing to sustainable development.
Duties:
1. Academic administration: Organizing and managing academic programs, ensuring their compliance with higher education standards.
2. External communication: Representing the college in academic and professional meetings and events, interacting with other institutions.
3. Developing strategic plans: Creating and following up on strategic developmental plans for the college.
4. Financial oversight: Managing the college's budget and financial resources, ensuring their efficient and transparent use.
5. Overseeing student affairs: Addressing and solving student issues, working to improve the learning and study environment.
